FSLA's First Annual Meeting 2026

The Finnish Space Law Association held its first Annual Meeting on 19th of May 2026, bringing together members of the Association to review the past year’s activities and discuss ongoing developments in the field of space law in Finland.
The programme included expert presentations by Ella Mäkijärvi and Kadri Vatman (Hannes Snellman) on the ongoing reform of Finland’s Space Activities Act, as well as Helena Lamminen (Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom / Liikenne- ja viestintävirasto Traficom) on the role of Traficom in the Finnish space sector.
The presentations provided an overview of current legislative developments and regulatory practice in Finland, with particular attention to the evolving national framework for space activities and the growing significance of administrative oversight in a rapidly developing sector.
The Annual Meeting also included the statutory proceedings of the Association. The newly elected Board was announced as follows:
